Child/ Adolescent and All Ages Therapist
Rachel Price, MS, MSW, LCSWA (She/They)
I am an LCSWA with a background in social work and experiential education, focusing on children, adolescents, and families. I hold a Master of Science in Experiential and Outdoor Education from Western Carolina University and a Master of Social Work from Grand Canyon University. My experience spans child welfare and rural communities, where I utilize a strengths-based, developmentally attuned approach to empower and support young people.
I firmly believe that children express themselves and heal through play, creativity, and connection. I integrate play-based and expressive techniques into my sessions, enabling children to explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and understand their experiences in engaging and natural ways. Whether through imaginative play, art, movement, or outdoor activities, I meet each child at their level, honoring their unique voice and pace.
Throughout my career in community agencies and local government, I have dedicated myself to supporting children and families with complex needs. I have a particular passion for working with rural communities, LGBTQIA2S+ youth, and families seeking a safe and affirming space for growth. Collaborating closely with caregivers, I recognize the essential role of relationships in a child’s healing and development.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, emphasizing trust-building, resilience, and connection. I strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel seen, supported, and empowered to express themselves freely.
For the past five years, I have called the mountains of western North Carolina my home and feel grateful to be part of this community. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, hiking, caring for animals, and exploring pottery—an expressive practice that helps me stay grounded and creative.
