Michelle Baker, LCMHCA
I work with young adult and adult clients of all backgrounds, supporting them in navigating life transitions. These transitions invite us to reassess our values, roles, and sense of identity—work that can be transformative at any stage of life. My clinical experience includes career counseling with young and older adults, parenting support for single parents with young to college age children, and therapeutic work with clients navigating life transitions, i.e., college, empty-nest, retirement.
My counseling approach is person-centered and strengths-based, grounded in empathy and collaboration. I incorporate evidence-based practices such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness, and attachment. I have additional training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and expressive arts, which allows for a creative and personalized therapeutic experience.
I believe resilience is nurtured through creativity, self-compassion, and the intentional building of internal and external resources. In our work together, we will focus on exploration, insight, and strategy, identifying tools and resources that align with your values and goals. My aim is to support your growth, autonomy, and well-being—especially during times of transition.
If this approach interests you, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
